If you’ve been waiting for a proper “micro SUV” upgrade in India, the Tata Punch facelift 2026 is finally becoming official. Tata has teased the updated Punch and the launch date is confirmed as 13 January 2026.What makes this facelift a big deal is that it’s not just cosmetic. The teasers point to major upgrades in performance, tech, and safety.
Tata Punch facelift 2026 launch date (confirmed)
Launch date: 13 January 2026.
That means if you’re planning to buy a Punch (or any rival in this price band), this is the week to pause and compare.
Confirmed highlights: ADAS + 360-degree camera (segment shocker)
From the teaser visuals:
- A front camera strongly hints at a 360-degree camera system.
- The teaser also shows an ADAS radar module in the lower grille, confirming ADAS is coming to the Punch (a first for the model and a big moment for the segment).
This is exactly the kind of feature jump buyers usually had to go to bigger SUVs for.
Punch facelift turbo engine specs (what the teaser confirms)
This is the other headline: Tata has teased the Punch iTurbo.
According to sources Tata has confirmed the iTurbo petrol engine for the facelift.
Expected setup (based on the same engine family mentioned in the report):
- 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol
- Output expectation: around 120 PS and 170 Nm
- 6-speed manual transmission is also confirmed via teaser.
This matters because the current Punch is mostly a “city + occasional highway” car. A turbo + 6MT changes the entire personality.
More confirmed/teased features: cabin + comfort + convenience
Another teaser shows several upgrades aimed at daily usability and premium feel:
- Fully digital instrument cluster
- 65W fast charging
- Hill Descent Control
- Touch-based control panel (key functions)
- FATC (Fully Automatic Temperature Control)
- Better driver comfort with enhanced under-thigh support shown in the teaser.
On the exterior, the facelift also gets a sharper design update and a more “big Tata SUV” look, including new lighting treatment and fresh alloys.
Expected price: Tata Punch facelift price in India (what to expect)
Tata hasn’t announced pricing yet. Realistically, with ADAS + 360 camera + turbo + new tech, the facelift will likely push the Punch upwards, especially in top variants.
My take: expect a higher top-end price than today’s Punch, with the turbo and ADAS variants sitting at the premium end of the lineup.
