Kia has already fired the first shot — the Carens Clavis EV launched at ₹17.99 lakh is already on sale. Now, the South Korean brand is preparing its biggest product wave in India yet.
The Kia Syros EV is confirmed for an official debut in July 2026, making it Kia's most affordable EV in India. Expected to be priced between ₹14–20 lakh, it is likely to share its platform and powertrain with the global Hyundai Inster EV, with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery options. It will take on the Tata Nexon EV, MG Windsor EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric directly.
The Kia Sorento is expected to arrive in India by late 2026 as a premium 3-row hybrid SUV. The India-spec model is likely to use a hybridised 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine (instead of the global 1.6L turbo hybrid) to keep pricing competitive. Expected price: around ₹35 lakh, putting it in direct competition with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and the upcoming 7-seat Renault Duster.
Codenamed QY2E, the next-gen Sonet will move to the same K1 platform that underpins the Kia Syros, bringing OTA updates, better safety ratings, and improved rear seat space — a common complaint about the current model.
