MG Hector Hawk 7-Seater Electric SUV: 500+ km Range, Price & August 26 Debut Details

MG is set to witness its biggest launch of the year in India. The company's all-new flagship 7-seater EV SUV was recently spied on Indian roads in camouflage. Apart from its aggressive design, some key details about the imminent launch have been revealed. MG is all set to take on the premium SUV segment with this latest offering which comes in full-size stature and is placed higher than Hector in its portfolio. Let's look at the details and the much-needed expectations from the soon-to-launch model.

Camouflaged test mule of the upcoming MG Hector Hawk 7-seater electric SUV in India, confirming a 500+ km range ahead of its August 26 debut.

Based on the camouflaged prototype images, MG's latest offering has an aggressive front profile with design elements taken from WWII fighter planes. It features a tall bonnet, boxy cladding, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and rectangular LED headlamps with LED DRLs in the form of a mirrored panel.

Now, from the images shared on social media, it has been seen that some test cars had range stickers on the front doors. The sticker specified more than 500, which implies the range will go beyond 500km on a single charge. This upcoming model also marks MG's entry into India with ADAPT (Advance Drive Architecture Platform Technology), a new electric platform. The prototype's body structure is tuned to cope with Indian road conditions and has a modular design to accommodate different powertrains ranging from 400V and 800V.

While the exterior looks bold and adventurous, the interior looks to prioritize space with a 3-row, 7-seat setup on offer with a middle-row bench. The interior cabin also gets a large panoramic sunroof and a beige-colored theme creating an airy feel within the cabin.

The bookings for the same are already open on JSW MG's website with a token amount of ₹21,000. Although the prices will be announced on August 26, when the car will be unveiled, the pricing is expected to be competitive to take on the likes of premium EVs in the segment.
